Each player receives a full Bloomburrow Play Booster Box to open and build a 60-card Commander deck.

With booster boxes currently valued around $210, you'll be getting a box below market price while competing for over $160 in additional prizes.

At 8 players, prizes will be awarded to the Top 4:

• 1st Place: Banyan Tree ($63.64 value)
• 2nd Place: Three Tree City ($48.44 value)
• 3rd Place: Sword of Fire and Ice ($36.94 value)
• 4th Place: Timeless Lotus ($11.38 value)

Total Prize Pool: $160.40

Prize support may be adjusted based on total attendance.

Commander Box League Rules

This event follows the Magic: The Gathering Commander Limited format with modified deck-building rules.

Deck Construction:

• Each player builds a 60-card deck, including their commander, using cards opened from their provided Play Booster Box.
• Players may use any number of basic lands.
• Unlike traditional Commander, multiple copies of the same card are allowed.
• Your commander must be a legal commander opened from your box.
• Color identity restrictions are ignored during deck construction. For example, a red and white commander can be used with cards of any color.
• Color identity still matters for card effects that reference it.
• Outside cards, Buy-a-Box promos, and Commander promos cannot be added to your deck.
• Players may adjust their decks between games using cards from their original booster box.

Gameplay:

• Games follow normal multiplayer Commander rules.
• Players begin with 40 life.
• Games are played in multiplayer pods, typically with four players per pod.
• The last player standing in each game wins.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I don't open enough cards in my commander's colors?

Color identity restrictions are ignored for deck construction. You can use cards of any color regardless of your commander's color identity.

Can I change my deck during the league?

Yes! You can rebuild or adjust your deck between games, provided you're only using cards opened from your original booster box and basic lands.

Is this event competitive or casual?

This event is designed to be a casual Commander experience with prizes for our top finishers. Players of all experience levels are welcome, so feel free to ask questions, try new strategies, and enjoy some Bloomburrow!
